White-Out
My heart is an empty space.
I emptied the piggy bank.
All the human souls fell out into my hand
and I traded them for happiness.
There are people that you will die trying to change.
If there are others, why lose your life?
We think of love as bittersweet, so we don't trade for more.
There are ultimate goodbyes we've held off for too long
and hellos we've rejected.
My heart is clear.
I've emptied all of my desires
that were just settlements I made when I was out of faith.
I cross it. I seal it
that only true love, pure, strong and true, may break the case
and have this habitation to fill with its own determination.
