Sometimes
Sometimes I wish I were
A simple girl
Who chose to marry a man, any man
Instead of waiting for the one
Sometimes I wish I felt
More satisfied with life
Not expecting so much
That I'm left deflated all the time
Sometimes I wish I could
Just accept things as they are
And let go
Rather than holding on.
And...
Sometimes I wish I were
More grateful for what I have
For there are many less fortunate
Who'd happily swap their problems for mine.

Such is the fallacy of being human...
As it goes we all tend to want what we don't have, n so e don't appreciate what they do... STILL it shouldn't be a crime to desire more, n to dream... but u shouldn't let any chance for happiness pass u you by just be us you're TOO choosy... just my opinion of course

In the eyes of the beholder. It's easy to think retrospectively and say "this was all worth it". When you're actually going through the struggle, you just see no end in sight. Nicely written.

Thank you. I think, when you're young, you tend to think changing yourself is for the best but actually remaining true to yourself, including not settling, is better in the end. Sometimes you realise in time, sometimes you learn the hard way.
