Ghosts Within My Corpse
standing here in the darkness of my heart
feeling ghosts of my past deep within
was wrong thinking I walked thru all the shadows
memories torment my mind with kisses of death
swarming upon my soul like flesh eating worms
found myself still dying among the dead
midnight brings me reading tombstones in a graveyard
hoping to find my name on one with a dug out grave
maybe my buried bones won't feel any emotions
and ghosts won't haunt me 6ft under

We all pray for death at some point in our lives, Purple One. Anything to not feel the pain. But you are walking into it's mouth and will choke it with your love and will to survive. xo

This is one of the darkest I've read by you Flower. It's memories that do the haunting here, and they can be more disturbing than things that go bump in the night. The most troubling thoughts come like specters in the shadows. But they pass, as will any desire to be 6 feet under. I hate to see you sad Flower, but this is fine work, the kind of departure that shows versatility and talent. Brava!
