Most adults should learn from their own mistakes as opposed to making the same mistakes, over and over, whilst expecting a different outcome each time.
If you're in your in 20's you get a grace period until you're 30... at the very least.
Any fuck ups after that, should be owned, wholly solely. Some can't help themselves, let alone others.
