Crime and Punishment

What was his crime?
What should be his punishment?

He hadn’t killed anyone
He hadn’t raped anyone
There was no assault
No drunken abuse
He wasn’t drunk driving
Nor had he crashed his car
No theft, forgery or fraud here
No animal cruelty
No crime of any kind
So what should be his punishment?
How about torturing
Binding and kidnapping
How about gagging
How about battery
Hair scalped with a knife
Terrorised and mentally scarred

His crime was not
Being disabled
His crime was not
Voting for Trump (he didn’t)
His only crime
Was he happened to be WHITE
And right now
That seems to be a crime

But I ask myself
Where was his superiority
Where was his place of power?
Where were his rights as a slave master?
Where was his white privilege?
And I answer they were
Only modern day myths
