Life wanted me dead

life loathed me
it pushed me down
to the point where i had to crawl
it shoved me down to the ground
to the point where i had to move with my tongue
i saw no escape but one
oh but two
i saw peace, and love
those two showed me the way to happiness
they picked my mind up and put it on steroids
i am slowly but surely almost walking tall now
just like the statue of liberty
i had to be built too but only rebuilt
i sure hope it stays this way
i have hope and two doses of extra strength now
life cant take me down  no more.
