We ran away from the day
Believing
No one can catch us.

Running through streets under drizzles,
My insides
As fizzy as your caffeine,
As warm as my hot cocoa.

You...sweet cinnamon roll.

Humor sounding like
It's dried in my city
To the bone
Silly jokes - stupid really -
Making me punch your arm,
Tough and tattooed as it is,
You just
Grinned as
You kissed my fist -
And I was dizzy.

How did I get here?
You?
Every midnight catching up
On
Me.

When I met you
You
Pulled me away from the world
When it was
A dark centrifuge
And I did not recognize
These parts
Of me
These limbs, these thoughts,
This voice,
This soul.

Now in this eddy,
They all laugh along with you.
And they are all in love with you.

Streaks
Of orange
And your hipster lavender candle
Paint the sky.
Waves
Crash against the rocks -
This is the song
I've been looking for.

You
A little bit

Like
That I smell
Like
Vanilla and flowers.
