My Mistake

You were supposed to protect me,
Asking me to share your world

Instead you broke me,
Making me yours

Learning my role,
Realizing the truth

Looking in your eyes,
I see what's coming

One word is all it takes,
I know what must be done

As you tear at my clothes,
Pulling me back

You know your strength,
Our struggle ensues

Your touch is cold,
Enjoying the fear you create

Asking for less,
Heightens your anger

Not satisfied until it's obvious,
I'm weeping on the floor

Tied to the table,
Begging for release

Wrists bleeding red,
Fighting for my freedom

Needing the pain to end,
The blackness to subside

That's when you smile,
Hearing me scream

Gagged with your tie,
I taste your sweat

Whipped raw by your belt,
Muffled screams laced with salty tears

Leaving raised welts,
This will be my reminder

Eyes begging for forgiveness,
You teach me another lesson

Always learning the hard way,
I will not make the same mistake
