It is your kindness and good
Actions that bring my smile
Back around. You could

Fix me if I let you. While
The pain is still seeping

Is bigger, you are keeping
Me company in the simplest
Of ways. You are creeping

Slowly. You are the dearest
And most precious thing to my
Heart. You keep the interest

Going. You always try to pry
Yourself into the empty spaces
And holes. The tears I cry

Do not scare you off. Faces
And smiles become brighter.
You are the one who traces

The scars and I am a fighter
Because I fought off the tough
Battles. Everything feels lighter

With you around. The scuff
Of my feet got us pushing ahead
Into all of the rough

Terrain and journey. You lead
Me to somewhere better where
It is only the two of us who tread

The deep waters. You care
About me deeply and you
Always give me the air

To breathe. You grew
And blossomed with me.
