A Bit of Hope

It slips into the night, unnoticed
And unrequited. It takes a part
Of you to always stay focused

On your dreams. It is that start
You needed. It gives you that
Extra bit of faith when your heart

Wants to give up. You forget what
Matters in the head too.  It is more
Than what you think. That rut

You get caught in becomes less sore.
Do not listen to the doubters and
Negativity. You are better than before

Your rebirth. You are never outgunned
Or not smart enough. It is your smile
That should never ask for a refund

On life. You are floating in light while
Everyone struggles to find their rope
And anchor. You should file

Away the bad. Hang onto your hope
Tightly. It is the stars in the sky.
Look through your telescope.

It is every part of your high
And never a part of your low.
It is way better than any good-bye.
