Many Fish In The Sea
She cast her line out once more, patience failing her, many fish in the sea, but so far she thought, there is not one made for me.
She tried a spot out of her comfort zone, a place hidden, water lay in the shadow of the weeping willow, she would have to reel back in ever so carefully to prevent her line from getting caught and tearing on the fallen branches littering the water.
Anything worth having isn't easy!
Suddenly her line went wild sinking her bobber into the murk, she reeled slowly, taking care to avoid anything that might snare her line and leave her waiting always for the one that got away.
As his head broke the water's surface her eyes became encased in his seas..his eyes so entrancing, like that of sweetest sins meant to be done but never spoken and she stand hypnotized, all she could see was him.
So long had she waited for the right catch, and he seemed to fit the bill, but everything caught in murky water was brought there by a current from a secret of the past.
Senses speak that no one is perfect and nothing is quite as it seems, but longing so badly for this to be end to her wait she saw no imperfection in him.
He could have showed her the error of her ways, told her what his appeal concealed from her eyes, but instead he allowed her perceive him as she wanted to see.
Days months, years pull the curtains for the grand reveal and she sees that what he is is nothing but everything she hoped he wouldn't be.
Deceived she throws him back in to the murk and she hopes that he is never snagged on another's line, for shes lost the urge to search for the one in many fish and the devil has her soul.
