Absolutely, often we humans take on the responsibility of things that are not ours. If it isn't directly affecting your life, then ignore it...

Exactly. I've never understood the "It's not personal" sentiment -
it's not personal to them, maybe - but who it's personal to, well, then it's personal.

You do indeed have a valid point, however, my contention is that the outer chaos we encounter daily isn't about us, it just is. If someone is having a bad day and they are rude to you it's not personal. Only our own shit is if you know what I mean?
Re: Re. -nothing is personal in this world
Yep. I do and agree generally speaking. Whatever we experience we've called forth unto ourselves to evolve.
I was referring to others telling you a negative action isn't personal - when it would be more than personal to them if the situation were reversed. Kind of like Meg Ryan in You've Got Mail when Tom Hanks put her out of business and said, "It's not personal." :D

"personal" ? a moot-point......personal/impersonal/"objective","subjective" all part of our delusion of "who i think i yam"......& those thoughts mean No Thing in the space of Eternity (whatever that is)........blezz you , sir!

"& those thoughts mean No Thing in the space of Eternity"
That's why it's not personal unless it directly involved within the self. The outer is not personal, but simply what was supposed to happen...
