Pumpkinhead

Spun from sockets in a servile release
mushy ejaculate was anything but peace
slippery inside and degraded like grease
ripped and pulled as it tore in release
emptied and seeded the grainy gourd
it couldn't have seen a better reward
for all the days it had grown in the field
to take on a face that was sure to reveal
all it had seen through a worms-eye view
a prattling pawky pavid scene so askew
crawling with vermin exalting its vines
that had fed an elixir of dirt-eaten design
ripped from its prison by a sharp scythe
and loosely placed by a neophytic mind
lying against others among a tumulous pile
so blank and vacant how it wanted to smile
with a knife-edged mendacity all the while
in spoilated kinship thrust into with revile
cupidinously hewn the illuminated guise
took on a life that left little to surmise
lit from within with a waxy effulgence
the amberline glow of occlusive indulgence
carved by a sorrowful force in redundance
the thralldom a dampener to unencumbrance
in repeating the quash of pleonastic form
were the dressing-down of overfed norms
a vacuous space of incipiant sensation so
pithy the parroted witch-hunted creation
placed in display of roly-poly depredation
and left to rot in a sluggish degradation...
