for the pen just refuses to stand
this feeling of thumping heart
ready to spill onto paper

tonight be left untended
adrenalin may have flooded the veins
but this heart has been harpooned
as it breached the surface to exhale
wounded is the word
no ink will flow for now

In only a few months she found her way within the heart of many here. I too hope she will change her mind. It is not always obvious in a poem who has stirred the words, but the heart that did the stirring has obviously mixed many feelings tonight...

This is actually a very heartfelt tribute. I read the link first to see what this poem referred too. You should be very proud of this. It's stripped back, and short and this is what makes it powerful I think.

nevertheless The reader does not need to know as it is a fine poem as it stands - it reeks of sadness,frustration and loss - which seems to appropriate given its background - a great we poem :-)
