"The End of Aching"
Is it gone, (I just want it to be gone)
Is there anything left, (I just want there
to be something to hold on)
To our own ways we go and it
separates us into, (we once were one)
Now the inevitable comes, (we wonder
what we'll do)
Now that all we had is far behind and
no answers are in sight; we look for
solace in this life and an ending to
the strife
The things that tore us apart are buried
somewhere deep inside our lies
So we go
Into the emptiness of arms that are not
there to hold us tight; arms that used to
give warmth in cold, dark lives
Eyes that even if lifeless and vacant still
ignite a fire; to the one that looks into
them and gets lost deep inside
But that can all become moot...
Now that all we had is far behind and
no answers are in sight; we look for
solace in this life and an ending to
the strife
The things that tore us apart are buried
somewhere deep inside our lies
So we go
Away, disconnected from that into which
we once grew
Is there anything left, (I just want there
to be something to hold on)
