Poverty is a drug
That my people can't kick
To see my people struggle
Makes the pit of my stomach sick
Day after day
Its a never ending cycle
And for man to feed his family
There almost forced to be criminal
The Gov't don't care about poverty
They got their Merceded E-Class
While my people livin poor
Why can't they just send us to rehab?

i appreciate anything political as it's hard to come by
amidst all these broken teenage hearts.
i love the satiric drug/poverty metaphor.
i you wanted to read better you need to clean up the rhythm.
for instance the line:
"Makes the pit of my stomach sick"
reads better as:
"Makes my stomach sick"
