I relax and lay back
into your beautiful words
I allow myself to be carried
onwards so that I might rest
a while in your poetry
your words make us one
and help me to carry on
I thank you for your skill
for your art and your beauty
it is with that, that I know
I will never be alone again
I need not fear the dark
of the knife monsters
or of those with flaming wings
your words make me invisible
your words protect me
your words keep me safe
I can only thank you
for writing them
