Confession
Bless me for I have sinned
pray me a forgiveness
sprinkle me with water of atonement
for all my sins and iniquities
wantonly had I seduced
the representatives of holiness
they who walked in godly gait
looking at my womanly allure
they who expounded on Godliness
fell to my feet begging for more
to partake of my exquisite gifts
to bury themselves in my womanhood
on the pulpit where they pontificate
on evils and how the man
should submit into the spirit of holiness
but within they burn with desire
as they looked at my cleavage
knowing how the softness
waited to be devoured
their loins ache
I confess to being the tool of temptation
I confess and beg for the forgiveness of sin
Pray for my soul so I wouldn't burn in hell
forgive me...I thirst still
Who gave unto women
her beauty and gifts....

:) poetryman- it was for the competition 'Confession'. It was all based on imagination, no worries, no one would glance at my cleavage to save their life.:):) I did mould it on someone in our parish though.

Lol, don't shortchange your cleavage, there are men who, well, maybe I shouldn't say what some men prefer, but trust me, not every man is a breast man...
You may however, need to confess for writing about a fellow parishioner in a poem... 3 Hail Mary's and $10 extra in the donations basket during Sunday mass... lol

:) Poetryman...you are right about the confession...I may think about it next Sunday. If I see her again the Act of Contrition may be repeated.:)

The representatives of holiness may be hypocrites if they pound the pulpit Sunday morning after seducing Saturday night. Or they might be led into temptation by you, Grace. Not your fault if they can't keep their eyes off your exquisite gifts. Can't blame them!

This goes a long way to remind us once again that clergy men are humans too;vulnerable in every way like any other man. Permit me to add, amongst all forms of temptations that exist, the one arising from the opposite sex are the most difficult to overcome. I can relate to both the Tempter and the Tempted...very interesting read. Good luck with the comp!

:) dustyjjewels...oyes! some people say when you are trying to be chaste and pious, temptations grow stronger. Must be hard for priests and monks.

Slowgasm:) thank you for reading. yes, temptations are everywhere in any form. Those trying to walk the straight and narrow road suffer most.

Very intriguing writing, Grace, calling the holier than thou on their hypocrisy. Strong stuff written very well !

Hi Tony, I have seen my share of hypocrisy in the church. I once heard a priest admonished a couple of gays who went to attend a funeral. It became a rant. So embarrassing. Priest must have been a closet gay and ashamed of himself.
