they only come out at night (wild life series)
Those black lips
and gnashing teeth
consume the berry & the beast
praise to make it through winter's long dark night
to rise in spring for another bite
whiskered ass and sharp nail
hope he lives to tell the tail
Those beady eyes
that reflect in the night
the howl that keeps his pack nice and tight
the team scavenges the land for a morsel or two
to satisfy the hunger they can never subdue
little red riding hood dare not stray
for you will not see the light of another day
WHO dare pass as sharp talons of death doth clasp
the unfortunate rodent that plagued us all
with the rise of the wings, the varmint must fall
bright yellow eyes shine in the dark
as he makes his home in the mossy bark
to feed the young she doth spawned
as she falls asleep upon the dawn
and gnashing teeth
consume the berry & the beast
praise to make it through winter's long dark night
to rise in spring for another bite
whiskered ass and sharp nail
hope he lives to tell the tail
Those beady eyes
that reflect in the night
the howl that keeps his pack nice and tight
the team scavenges the land for a morsel or two
to satisfy the hunger they can never subdue
little red riding hood dare not stray
for you will not see the light of another day
WHO dare pass as sharp talons of death doth clasp
