Mr.Ordinary Man

You're a man of the city
With a penchant for satire
And as the world grows cold to you
So does the sweat on my neck

As you wish your pixelated mask back
We haven't heard from you in months
Mr.Ordinary Man
I'd cross the street if I saw you.

Your jokes now sound so grim
Everything was rewritten
How much have I never known ?
What tied your son's throat up onstage ?

You're a monster of a man,
You're human and so you're weak
Always cheerful, always restless
Who would've guessed, yes, who would think ?

I struggle to remember
Exactly how fond you were of me
I shiver and I shiver and I shiver
What if we'd met a few years early ?

No right or wrong
This ain't a world for little kids
You'd better lose your innocence
You'd better lose it soon
Before men start to swoon
This ain't a world to be safe in
Haven't you got it yet ?
You'd better lose your purity
Before it gets infected.
