This darkness that festers in time
A demon that laughs in your face
The old scars show like new
A pain nonone really knows

Those voices that haunt me....torment me
"Why didnt you help us?"
One voice hurts the most
"Why didnt you see?"

That one voice drove me to darkness
Never to return to the light
Not in one piece
Not fully alive

This unspeakable darkness burns like lightning
You can't hide it forever
That fear never subsides
A darkness uncontrollable by any man

A fear of relapse
The dread of pitch blackness
A point of no return
The lost hope of a light

The darkness is unforgiving
Takes all as prisoners
Leaves non alive emotionally
Occasionally physically
