We Make Love When We Dance (a collaboration w Jade Pandora)
The strings mew, sighing with blue notes
As we step regally on stage
From opposite wings facing each,
While hands applaud like castanets.
In music and bright haze we stand,
We alone, the world, me and you,
Facing across our kingdom’s grace,
Their staccato adulation.
The counterpoint of our feet tap,
Going ever faster, echos.
To slide and rap on wooden planks,
With timpani's mounting thunder!
Foot-lit, shadow and silhouette
We step, born in the sound and light,
In perfect time, its lift and fall
We move to gain center as one.
It's our arrangement played so fierce,
With maestro's baton from the pit,
That caters passion's crave aroused
Laid bare with ev'ry yearning pluck.
Like hungry hunters circling,
We're opposed, apart, together.
A heat enflames, a fire ignites,
The rhythm flares, our dance begins.
Now with your grip and ev'ry twist,
Till by the next heartbeat it's time
To fling my lithe form 'round each turn
As we unite into the dance!
Your body’s fall compelling mine,
My hand spreads wide to guide our steps
From base of your curved spine we send
Our joining one in single time.
With glimpses of black lingerie
In layered flight of taffeta,
Violas lean in with their strains,
And French horns both swell at the sight.
The voyeurs’ night our song extends.
We give them audience to gaze,
To stare at ev'ry glimpse, their gasps,
At ev'ry measured rise and rush.
Abandon in the way we show
A perfect meeting of romance,
And yet of foreplay borne anew
Each time we make love when we dance.
