Friends?

Actions speak louder than words or so the saying goes.
So I propose a deal or a gesture of good faith.
Let's just be friends for how ever long you want.
I don't mind just being friends I'm not bothered at all.
But I'll let you decide, it is entirely up to you.
A smart man can wait a lifetime for a woman  like you.
So while I wait I want to be the best friend I can be for you.
I just hope friendship isn't an unreasonable  request.
