See You Later….

I loved him
More than words could express
I loved him
Deeper than the Pacific Ocean
I loved him
Where logic and reason made no sense
He was that which I never had
Never allowed myself to have
Never allowed myself to feel
But basked in it all once I did

He got past walls
Without even trying
Mask dropped off in his presence
The well within me would open up
And out pours all I kept hidden

He Tap danced with my heart
& the music we made was beautiful
He was that which soothed my spirit
Brought smiles with just the mention of his name
He was dreams
I wanted to watch unfold
He was a broken vessel
I thought I could heal
He was my fairy tale prince
He just didn’t have a clue
How deep my love ran for him

The Yang to my Yin
He was….
Perhaps in another life
My soul mate
The left to my right
The up to my down
The beat to my music
The unbalance separate
That became balance together
We were the two halves
I truly believed would become whole

It’s hard to let go of
Something you deemed so beautiful
Something you felt was right
A love you just knew
Would heal the parts of you hidden
From wounds deeply buried

It’s so hard to let go
Of something
You went to bed dreaming about
But in the end
All things don’t come together
And endings are not always perfect
And sometimes you have to lose to win

Sometimes two ships
Have no choice
But to pass each other by
In order to save itself
From crashing head on
There are never goodbyes
Only I’ll see you later

So my love
I’ll see you later
