Daughter of Icarus
In her winsomeness
In her sadness
she flew too close
To the sun
But something so
Stunning, so shattering
Was not meant to be
Endured by flesh
It scorches,burns itself out
Leaving remnants Of obsidian embers
And a dark,starstruck truth.
Stripped of all and
Naked to vengeful realities
She captures her missing piece
It completes her
Reunited,beauty and beast
Wreck the painted sky
And burn to an eternal
Dance of living flame
In her winsomeness
In her sadness
She flew too close to the sun
But Oh! to be burnt by that beauty!
In her sadness
she flew too close
To the sun
But something so
Stunning, so shattering
Was not meant to be
Endured by flesh
It scorches,burns itself out
Leaving remnants Of obsidian embers
And a dark,starstruck truth.
Stripped of all and
Naked to vengeful realities
She captures her missing piece
It completes her
Reunited,beauty and beast
Wreck the painted sky
And burn to an eternal
Dance of living flame
In her winsomeness
In her sadness
She flew too close to the sun
But Oh! to be burnt by that beauty!
