When love drifts in
Like sweet inspiration
It rides the rain

it burns hot
with sheet lightning
and thunderous refrain

It flees, untouchable
A misty- eyed ghost
And I give chase

Sometimes in the Eye
Of the storm I see
My own face

the wrath of love is a
bold tormenting
pariah in my bed

so I drift with the wind
and I ride the rain
to bitter tears ahead
