The last time I was drunk
The last time I was drunk
I stank like a skunk
Covered in vomit and fish
Diluted with my own pish
I woke up in the car
I hadn’t gone far
Just round the corner from yours
I must have been sleeping for hours
On my lap a tear stained handkerchief
But I don’t remember getting any relief
Where had I gone
What had I done
As I started to sober it came flooding back
Like a derailed train getting back on the track
I filled up with dread, I filled up with fear
The mist was dissolving, and now coming clear
The last time I was drunk
I’d more reason to spew
The last time I was drunk
You drugged me with witch’s brew
The last time I was drunk
Instead of wishing you adieux
The last time I was drunk
I asked a question, you said, well overdue
The last time I was drunk
I asked if I could marry you
And damn it!
You said YES!
I stank like a skunk
Covered in vomit and fish
Diluted with my own pish
I woke up in the car
I hadn’t gone far
Just round the corner from yours
I must have been sleeping for hours
On my lap a tear stained handkerchief
But I don’t remember getting any relief
Where had I gone
What had I done
As I started to sober it came flooding back
Like a derailed train getting back on the track
I filled up with dread, I filled up with fear
The mist was dissolving, and now coming clear
The last time I was drunk
I’d more reason to spew
The last time I was drunk
You drugged me with witch’s brew
The last time I was drunk
Instead of wishing you adieux
The last time I was drunk
I asked a question, you said, well overdue
The last time I was drunk
I asked if I could marry you
And damn it!
You said YES!
