jellybean ~

i have contemplated
an epiphyte seed ,
a speck in an ocean
of blood & mucous
{barely
grit in my veins}
but the ripple
swells slowly
beneath the flat ~
... too subtle
to distend the calm,
the cradle of muscle
& flesh & the mute rush
of anions & cations ...

with a pulse}
little drumbeat
rooted
in membranes
with your stem
in my heart ....
... i never thought
i would be
the soil ...
