COFFEE AND SMOKES...
Bliss has finally graced me with her presence.
Happily I light a smoke and get the coffee brewing.
Excitement blending with the yummy smells brewing in the air.
I have yearned for this very morning it seems an eternity.
Floating on air I concoct my coffee in it's massive mug and gather the troops and smokes.
Anticipation gaining speed, not even a tornado could stop me now.
Taking a deep breath I opened the door and giggled in delight.
Bright sunshine stung my eyes and warmth slapped my cheeks. I didn't even mind almost getting knocked off my feet by the troops.
The troops being a 90lb Pitt, a scrawny 15yr Chihuahua and of course hubby dear, no man left behind.
You try getting the troops, coffee and smokes down creaky stairs, you'd giggle as well.
A deep sigh escaping as I settle in my chair. I had survived another old man winter's abuse.
Time for celebration. Sniffing my coffee, I light another smoke and gaze in every direction with sheer bliss.
Deep, thick, green grass fresh with morning dew tickled my bare toes.
Vivid purple, yellow and pink lilies soothing my spirit in their youthful perkiness.
I sipped my coffee, smoking away as I took it all in.
Deep blue sky's, clouds thick as cotton soared as far as the eye could see.
Is there even an appropriate description of the sun? Warmth, startling bright? Amazing? I wonder at this.
The air, softly scented with renewal, chasing away the winter's pine.
Even Fred, our gray tree squirrel is chatting happily.
Yes, bliss graced me with her presence this morning. I am truly blessed.
