On The Edge { Chapter 13}

As Eric stood there motionless and worried he asked again " Kells, what the hell are you doing with pregnancy tests?".
Kells then finally said " because I'm pregnant...and it's yours..."
Eric then said " bullshit" Kells then said " no it's not bullshit, today when I left Bessie I started thinking about whether or not I was pregnant so I bought these tests and took them then I was planning on going to the free clinic down the street for them check to see if I actually am..." Eric then asked " so why didn't you?" Kells then said " I would of if someone didn't stop me!" Eric looked nervous as he said " ok, I'll take you there..." Kells smiled as she said " thank you".
Eric and Kells left the Walgreens and walked to the free clinic as Eric stayed in the waiting room waiting for Kells to come out.
Eric, started to think about the whole situation in his head as he thought to himself " oh my god I hope she's not pregnant, I don't think I could be a father just yet!" then finally Kells came out as they walked out of the clinic and were heading to Eric's car.
Eric, asked " so what did they say?"
Kells smiled and said " I'm pregnant..." Eric looked at her with complete disappointment as he stopped in front of her and stood silent for awhile.
He then sighed and looked at her as he muttered " well, I guess I'll have to pay for it..." Kells looked at him confused as she said " pay for what?"
Eric then had a slight, unsure smile on his face as he said softly " for the abortion...I'll take care of it..."
Kells went from confused to upset as she said to him " no, I want to keep this child!"
Eric frowned as he said " no, no you're not gonna have this baby!" Kells then said " I want this child Eric, I love kids and I think it's a blessing in disguise"
Eric started pacing back in forth in front of her as he said " oh Jesus Kells, do you realize the shit that you're asking me to do?" Kells then said " Eric, you don't have to be a part of it--" then Eric cuts her off as he says " so why don't you just do that?! Why are you telling me about it?!" Kells then said " I thought you wanted to be a part of it". Eric rolled his eyes as he said " damn it Kells, do you realize the dilemma you're putting me in?!" Kells then said " yes and I think you should take responsibility for your actions since you are the older one!" Eric just glared at Kells as he sighed and said slowly " Kells, just remember we will have to live with this for the rest of our lives..." Kells smiled as she said " I know that, but I still want this child..." Eric just rubbed his eyes roughly as he tried to mentally grasp onto the situation for what it was.
So as him and Kells were walking to Eric's car Eric then asked " so how exactly are you gonna tell Bessie?" Kells shrugged as she said " I don't know I'll find a way" then before they were going to get in the car Eric grabs her am and turns her to face him as he says " Kells, just remember to not tell Bessie it's mine..."
Kells then gave him a confused look as she laughed and said " why? It's not like you could go to jail or something"
Eric then said " yeah, yeah I know it's just I'm pretty sure she might find a way to make me pay for the trouble I caused...so please don't tell her!"
Kells laughed and said " alright, fine!".
As they got in Eric's car and drove home they arrived there as Eric parks his car in the drive way as he walks inside Kells's home with her and tells Bessie " I found her!" Bessie smiled as she said to Eric " oh thank god you found her! I don't know what I'd do without you the next time she gets mouthy and chooses to run off!" Eric smiles as he looks at Kells and says " Kells, don't you have something to say?" Kells looked at him confused as she said " no, what?" Eric raised his eyebrow as he said " Kells?" Kells groaned in irritation as she looked at Bessie with such anger and said " sorry!" Bessie smirked as she said " apology accepted..." Kells rolled her eyes as she went upstairs to her room. Bessie turned to Eric as she said " thank you so much for bringing her home..." Eric smiled and said " you're welcome". And walked out the house and went into his. Meanwhile in Kells's room, Kells was sitting in a wonder chair of hers in front of the window as she was listening to music. She watched Eric enter in his house as she thought in her mind " why doesn't he love me?..." Then suddenly Chance came into her room smiling at her with a cocky smile. Chance was one the kids living in the group home with Bessie, he and Kells were the oldest ones as everyone else was between the ages of 4 to 12 years old. Chance was 16 years old, stood 5'9, had short, straight dirty blonde hair with bangs, very pale skin, baby blue eyes, thin eye brows, full lips, medium built. He was wearing a black short sleeve v-neck with a white long sleeve shirt underneath, baggy khaki cargo pants, black vans, and a dog tag necklace. Chance, went up to Kells as he smirked and said " so you're still drooling over Mr. Eric huh?" Kells took her head phones off her head and said " fuck you Chance! I don't like him!" Chance backed up a little as he said " ooh fiesty! I like that" Kells rolled her eyes in disgust as Chance said " aw come on now, you know I think it's hot when you reject me!"
Kells glared at Chance as she said " fuck you Chance!"
Chance laughed as he said " I would, but I would much rather you do it!"
Kells then said " oh please I wouldn't even come near you with a ten feet pole touching you!!" Chance then clutched onto his chest on his heart as he said " ouch! Damn Kells why do you have to be so mean?" Kells just sat there annoyed since she hated Chance.
Ever since he first came to live with Bessie he had a thing for Kells as he'd try his hardest to get with her, but of course never succeeded.
As Kells sat there watching Eric in awe of his sex appeal as she couldn't help, but watch his every move.
Chance noticed it as he smirked and said " what does he have that I don't?" Kells turned to face him as she said " a brain"
Chance rolled his eyes and said " oh please I have a brain!" Kells just glared at him as she said " get the hell out of my room!" Chance just stood there leaning against the wall as he said " well what if I don't?, whatchu gonna do?" Kells stood up as she walked up to Chance and punched him in the nose.
Chance, held is nose groaning as he said " what the hell Kells?!?" Kells stood there in anger as she said " get out".
Chance didn't hesitate to walk out of her room, Kells sat back down and put her headphones on as she went back to listening to her music.
Meanwhile at Eric's place, Eric sat on the couch drinking a beer as he thought about how he could possibly be able to handle this.
He wasn't ready to be a father just yet, and he hate to admit it, but he didn't love Kells nor did he ever plan on having a baby with her and spending the rest of his life with her. He sighed as he drank his beer and wondered why did he get himself
In such a messy predicament like this. Eric, then thought to himself " well it's my fault so I guess have to deal with it". He sniffled as he finished his beer then crushed it in his fist then took a three hour long nap. As he was asleep he dreamt of himself sleeping in his bed as the door to his bedroom creaked open slightly as a shadow on the floor suddenly appeared, then there was the sight of someone's bare feet quietly walking towards the bed as the person stood in front of him and as he opened his eyes he screamed and tried to run, but saw the person was holding his gun to his face and before the person shot him, Eric woke up sweaty and scared as he breathed heavily in such fear.
He exhaled sharply and said " whoa...what a nightmare..."
