Word of god
She was the word of god, and if she wasn't,
God never spoke,
With the feelings that her eyes would provoke,
My flesh was left burning,
My mind was a cloud full of smoke,
But we were younger when,
The nights of our passion led to days that we slumbered in
And I,
Taking flight as the light would come on,
Would spend my every waking moment trying to fight the dawn,
But still I'd wait,
For the same spikes of light that impale my heart to where the darkness chased,
Those swords of light would also reveal her face,
And as I lay,
Naked before her, I knew love,
Though it was something I would never say,
And I knelt in her lap with my head at her waist,
Tounge moving but saying nothing,
But this is me and this is how I pray,
And through the cosmos the words I would never say,
float,
Still there to this day, I believe, or rather I have faith,
So much so that it seems that still I know,
She was the word of god, and if she wasn't,
Then god never spoke.
