How do I know that the way you feel
Is the same as Me?
You always give me sideways glances

The same way that you do mine

Whenever I come across you, I try not to stare
To look at the way you shift your face and fix your hair
Attempting to seem like you don’t care
But there’s something we both share
And we don’t dare declare this affair
So I just keep on walking and walking

Step by step I watch you go through guy and guy
Breaking hearts left and right, with every guy in sight
It hurts me deep inside to watch you slide between lovers
And I know that I am not good enough to be one

We sometimes glance at each other
In the way only a few do
But I drift away
In the same fashion that they do
Except I was never yours
And never will I be.
