Inner Light

The triumphant truth
of inner light
pours on out
for human sight
Its radiance
may be to bright,
Yet dawn comes
ever after night.
Though the spirit had hidden
in a dark dank hole,
laying hidden in solitude,
like the sightless mole,
forgetting the strengths
of an attainable goal,
The earth and the darkness
cannot tarnish the soul.
Though in pitch black night,
the spirit might be hard to find,
Let us look at humanity
and the ties that bind,
For karma always comes
to those loving and kind,
and none may escape the laws
of the all knowing mind.
When we tally our losses
and count up our gains,
We find the vernal pools are driest
before the coming of the rains
And the light of truth
cannot be seen clearly, through translucent windowpanes,
Though our true selves evolve
as the moon waxes then wanes.
