Kitchen sink
Who is she really?
Could she be the girl I await
Beyond the horizon of fate
Or the girl
Already on the horizon i see
She so easily makes me happy
So easily makes me sad
With every smile so lovely
And every other man she's had
She likes to drink
Her beer frozen
and walk on the sand to think
While I grief for the stolen
Loneliness I once had in the sink
The kitchen sink
Where my cup had lied alone
Which is mine and mine alone to drink
but now I've got more to groan
Who is she really?
A passing breeze of pleasure
That just beautifully
completes my measure
Then, after, leaves me
If I had been alive centuries ago
Would I be able to know
The entirety of a lasting love
Or say would I be able to let go
Something clearly sent from above
But an angel must return
To the place beyond this place
When a man finally learns
There's more to life and love
Than a beautiful face
And that there are better ways
To pay a woman's grace
Could she be the girl I await
Beyond the horizon of fate
Or the girl
Already on the horizon i see
She so easily makes me happy
So easily makes me sad
With every smile so lovely
And every other man she's had
She likes to drink
Her beer frozen
and walk on the sand to think
While I grief for the stolen
Loneliness I once had in the sink
The kitchen sink
Where my cup had lied alone
Which is mine and mine alone to drink
but now I've got more to groan
Who is she really?
A passing breeze of pleasure
That just beautifully
completes my measure
Then, after, leaves me
If I had been alive centuries ago
Would I be able to know
The entirety of a lasting love
Or say would I be able to let go
Something clearly sent from above
But an angel must return
To the place beyond this place
When a man finally learns
There's more to life and love
Than a beautiful face
And that there are better ways
To pay a woman's grace
