PRAYING MANTIS

Ms Praying Mantis kills her mate,
Eats him when they've had a "hot date".
All that will be left of the male
Comes out other end at her tail
In form of digested remains
And eggs sired by him, for his pains.
I can imagine she might say
Among girlfriends on the next day:
"A good time to the end was had;
I ate him - and his end wasn't bad!"
If I was him, I'd hop and hide
If she said, "I want you inside!"
Or else pray she, efficiently,
Could see me off with quick mercy.
