Whose Fault??
Space..that final frontier
A place absent of you, my dear.
Always together....never apart.
I always finish .....what I start.
Your thoughts differ from mine,
You have no respect for time.
Lifetime invested with no return.
Dreams thrown in the fire to burn.
Always together...now always apart.
Time to jump start...reset my heart.
I guess the signs were alway there;
I ignored them..seemed so unaware.
The truth is I made no attempt to
mend it.
So I guess I made no attempt to
defend it.
So I guess as I try to assign blame;
to that list I should add my name.

Sometimes when you are continually stonewalled by what should be obvious to others, but instead ignorance is all the feedback you receive, we find blaming ourselves the only recourse for resolution. I get where you are at. If it helps you become a better person to inspect your own actions and rise above a situation, then point the finger at yourself. But if you find you are blaming yourself just to accommodate the others feelings in hopes of rekindling the relationship, I would reconsider what might end up repeating itself. That said, you have a heartfelt poem here, and demonstrate a sense of hurt and an attempt at reconstruction.
