what we have become
we are robotic beings infused with soul
equating ourselves to be human
yet knowing nothing of the like
we try to be free and live
although in our lives we have not done so
capturing beauty inside yet all the same
squashing it without form given
taken together by our own thoughts
of existential questions
with which we look unto others to try and describe
we use others words and meanings to espouse
our own illiterate confusion of Life
from which we are but mere passerbys
content on nothing more than what we can see
shaping our computer minds to allocate thought
revolved around simplistic attitudes
with which we believe ourselves so complex
ingenious in fact but far from it
we cannot choose to be free but live like
computed form organisms who function
based upon ideas from which we know little about
yet we try nonetheless to pursue greatness
few achieve what many fail
for we try based upon others ideals
instead of believing in ourselves
equating ourselves to be human
yet knowing nothing of the like
we try to be free and live
although in our lives we have not done so
capturing beauty inside yet all the same
squashing it without form given
taken together by our own thoughts
of existential questions
