 Apparently;
If I gave up smoking
And that includes toking
I would be much stronger
I’d live 8 years longer
And If I stop eating red meat
Living on veggies, pulses and wheat
If my will power perseveres
They say, they’ll give me two more years
They tell me if I exercise
Biceps, triceps, hips and thighs
Running like a hamster on a wheel
Another year from death I’ll steal
If I avoid all forms of stress
Ignoring things that cause distress
If I start being mindful through core meditation
And eat lots of bran avoiding slow constipation
If I limit my sex to once a week
And play children’s games like hide and go seek
If I stroke my dog or stroke my cat
And do specialist yoga on my special yoga mat
If I stop myself from crying
If I stop myself from lying
If I stop myself from calcifying
If I spend time beautifying
If I spend time purifying
If I spend time fortifying
Living longer without deep fat frying
Living longer without mystifying
Living longer instead of dying
Roughly 15 extra years to be had
That’s the ones at the end, the ones most sad
Where all your friends are dead
And you lie alone in bed
Full of regret and pain
Soft food that’s plain
Eyesight that’s failing
Difficulty inhaling, exhaling
Difficulty getting around
Partially deaf to many a sound
Locked up tight, living in fear
Listening to death as he draws near
As you piss yourself
From the meds on the shelf
Now you know what it is to be old
As the lies of healthy living unfold
Well fuck diabetes
And fuck you too
You can keep those years
I’ll now do, exactly what I want to do
