Standing on Solid Ground
Foolish people fall
because they're not on solid ground
Just ask Wile E. Coyote
When he spun his head around
To see the swift Road Runner
Meep meeping safe and sound
because they're not on solid ground
Just ask Wile E. Coyote
When he spun his head around
To see the swift Road Runner
Meep meeping safe and sound

Road Runner was my father's favourite character. He used to laugh at how foolish the coyote was for being too obsessed with chasing Road Runner to notice his own folly. I like this. :)

Exactly! We can laugh at the absurdity of the scene because deep down inside we all have done something metaphorically similar. We laugh at others through ourselves...

In the 60's and 70's cartoons were all on Saturday mornings with a few on Sunday mornings. It was a cultural expectation for us to watch them. Thanks for commenting!

Thank you Ahavati! Life was so simple then and the lessons learned from visual metaphors were easy for us to understand by minds uncluttered with the complexities of life. Adults missed the point and only saw violence...

Bugs Bunny and Woody Woodpecker were classics IMHO. Wile E. Coyote skits were fun too. Though a little too predictable.

Predictable and inevitable, yet still satisfyingly hilarious!

Excellent observation, JJ. . .life imitating art in Technicolor. . .I've always adored double R only because he wasn't dumb enough to stick around and let stuff fall on his head. . .Meep, Meep. . .~xo, Devlin.

Yeah, Wile E was funny because of the look on his face as he was standing in the air just before his body would drop out from under him and his head stayed there for a second looking into the camera with the "uht-oh- expression, lol... the long drop and POOF when he hit the canyon bottom.

Thanks for commenting! I'd like to take credit for the wisdom, but I think that goes to the cartoon creators who injected it into their ink and stained my brain with it a long time ago. Children's minds absorb everything they sense in magical ways...

Classics are always the best, when cartoons were made for the young at heart....which covers any age. ;) One of my fav too.
I'll think out the box with my interpretation, though I know where you were going, I'd say all you need is solid ground and you can crawl to where you're going, but when you have a shaky foundation, it's impossible to do anything, much less stand. Enjoyed jj!

Your inner vision is as beautiful as the vision you caress my eyes with Tara!
You think in philosophical colors that can enlighten the heart!
