I No Longer Split Infinity
My moral compass
trapped me in its
impossibly wide circles.
The road I should not have taken,
much too enticing to resist,
turned into a Möbius strip.
I've now hidden the time turner,
woven those sweet dreams into
a shroud of gossamer and yearning
to remind me of what could never be.

Hmmm.. Pondering your comment, I'm not sure whether you're saying there's too much math and science (I'd believe it) or not. Please be blunt - I can certainly take it. On the other hand, I was playing with this one and science concepts helped me achieve that distance from a tricky subject (giving in to temptation). There are other poems of mine that have no science whatsoever. You might give His Myth of Love, my first one, a try. Let me know what you think.

it's a great poem, my ability to critique it properly falls short. this is the obligation of poetry, to put so much of ourselves into it...
