Picnic Baskets

I would never have believed it
It wasn’t just one of them
It was both of them
Guilty as charged
No excuses
No apologies
Just bold as brass
To think;
They were both heroes
Of mine when I was a kid
I didn’t realise at the time
But then why would I
It was different then
Not like now
I mean, there’s nothing wrong with it
I mean, not these days, right?
They can even get married now
Or become Vickers, or priests
I didn’t know that it affected
Inanimate objects
My son told me that
Carrying a picnic basket was gay
He said picnic baskets were gay
And refused to go to the park
He said parks were gay to
But I kinda knew that
Imagine though, gay picnic baskets
Picnic baskets carriers all gay
Sad to think
Yogi and Booboo too
