No Love

There once was a girl
She used to know love
Till god made a decision
Took her beloved up to heaven
She tried so hard to fill that hurt
Even though no man could ever compare
Those lustful rendezvous
Just another reminder
That true love’s gone forever

But please
Don’t lose faith
I’d wrap my arms around you if I could
And though things might not go your way
Tomorrows a different day
…For healing

There once was a lady
She acted so shady
Went through men like candy
Didn’t think she was worth anymore than her body
Never confident enough to see past her past
But there was one guy
That tried to change her mind
Did everything to show her a better life
She just couldn’t see, didn’t want to see
Only thought love was something on the outside
Then wondered why she was so lonely on the inside
He’ll never know, he fell in love with a broken girl

But please
Don’t lose faith
I’d wrap my arms around you if I could
And though things might not go your way
Tomorrows a different day
…For healing

No luck
More downs than ups
Feeling so fed up
Like your backs against the wall
Yeah, this game ain’t fair
But remember that you always have a chance to look in that mirror
And say... you’re still so fucking beautiful!

There once was a woman
Who had her heart broken
She just couldn’t give in, she wouldn’t give up
Then came along a dream
Who took her by the hand
And then by surprise
Changed everything she knew in her life
With his gift of words
