Goodbye, My Lover

 Goodbye, My Friend

Tonight I feast before taking my leave.
Setting scraps of meat unto your breath-taking China piece.
As I dine, I picture the state of decomposition.
Mouth to a bottle of wine, I'll escape this degradation.

Death gave you to me, and death was helped in taking you away.
You are mine and mine alone, I had to force you to stay.
Till death do us part my love,
and I'm not sorry darling,... you had to pay.

Thus, I've cried for the cruelest death to befall you.
May the most diseased maggots, infest you.
For If you are no more, then I will not be.
You will worship no one, other than me.

I sound like the God you bow to,
You're ancient statues and deceitful bible,
proven to be untrue.
By none other than you.

You thought me innocent, and without flaw,
Thought of me as sane,
that I'm just a wee bit of a scattered-brain.
You didn't think I'd notice, did ya?

But I am way more refined than you think.
I like my meat rare with some pink.
Your other women, made my kitchen rancid.
They were as unpleasant as they were putrid.

But I'm not mad, for I'll take a part of you in me.
So thank you, my lover, for this final meal.
Like I said, I was raised with a more refined taste,
I just thought that you were different
but in the end,

Mother was right.

Men tasted way better dead... than alive.
