"Mistaken Not Thy Name Given"
You know not of my past,
You know not of my present,
And I know not of my future
But yet you seem fit to bind me to the torture
Of your own misconceptions and illicit actions.
You see me foreign
You think me intrusive
You see me an Ass to carry your deepest burden.
I treasure your secrets
I bare your scars
I harbour your regrets upon my shoulders.
Using every measure to withhold the lashing
From my tongue unto your harold breast.
For you know not of my past,
You know not of my present,
and I know not of my future
In a court I shall stand alone
Though guilty I may be tried
Innocent I'll walk away in stride.
Yet, I am as you see fit
Confined to live thy life in solace
Sworn to eternal silence
Forever deprived of the sweet kiss of vengeance
And never to hear the final cry of the
Blind Lady of justice.
You know not of my past,
You know not of my present,
and I know not of my future
But yet you seem fit to bind me to the torture
Of your own misconceptions and illicit actions
For you see me foreign
You think me intrusive
You love me an Ass to carry your deepest burden
But, as you send me off into Heaven,
Mistaken not thy name given!
You know not of my present,
And I know not of my future
But yet you seem fit to bind me to the torture
Of your own misconceptions and illicit actions.
You see me foreign
You think me intrusive
You see me an Ass to carry your deepest burden.
I treasure your secrets
I bare your scars
I harbour your regrets upon my shoulders.
Using every measure to withhold the lashing
From my tongue unto your harold breast.
For you know not of my past,
You know not of my present,
and I know not of my future
In a court I shall stand alone
Though guilty I may be tried
Innocent I'll walk away in stride.
Yet, I am as you see fit
Confined to live thy life in solace
Sworn to eternal silence
Forever deprived of the sweet kiss of vengeance
And never to hear the final cry of the
Blind Lady of justice.
You know not of my past,
You know not of my present,
and I know not of my future
But yet you seem fit to bind me to the torture
Of your own misconceptions and illicit actions
For you see me foreign
You think me intrusive
You love me an Ass to carry your deepest burden
But, as you send me off into Heaven,
Mistaken not thy name given!
