Random Chance

Random
Chance
These are their explanations
I ask them why?
They reply how
I’m confused with their confusion
And I’m thinking do they really know
What they’re talking about?
They deny his existence
That some big bang made us
But I want to know
What caused this big bang?
Silence
If you ask me
I think it’s stupid
How can you expect me to believe
That what you say is the truth?
You present evidence
Not proof
Which means there’s a chance
That your theories are false
A bigger chance perhaps
Than our existence
In your random chance world
There’s a shadow of a doubt
In every explanation I’m given
I’d much rather believe
That there is a deity
Who gave us life
Not because I’m being preached
By some old man
With a stern look
But because
It gives me reassurance
To know that
We have a purpose
And not that
Our existence is random
I’ll have faith in my faith
In hope I don't believe any lies
Because science can tell you how
But can’t tell you why
