Kisses of Rays
I sit at the broken table
That is placed against the dirty windows
Closely I watch the suns mornings light show
They start to push their way through the leafy wall
Small ones soon join forces to create
Large rays of bold sunrise light
As they begin to come through
I take out my white, slightly dirty headphones
I quietly rub my thumb against the ear pieces
Rubbing off the grim from my bag
I click on the YouTube icon
I scroll until I find the perfect song
My ears fill with the mellow notes
Of a pianist, her song matches the sun rays dance
They touch my skin and I smile faintly
A peaceful morning with the kisses of rays
That is placed against the dirty windows
Closely I watch the suns mornings light show
They start to push their way through the leafy wall
Small ones soon join forces to create
Large rays of bold sunrise light
As they begin to come through
I take out my white, slightly dirty headphones
I quietly rub my thumb against the ear pieces
Rubbing off the grim from my bag
I click on the YouTube icon
I scroll until I find the perfect song
My ears fill with the mellow notes
Of a pianist, her song matches the sun rays dance
They touch my skin and I smile faintly
A peaceful morning with the kisses of rays
