my medium of choice
in which inadequate symbols
portray fragile state of being
which encapsulated most of what
was my past by means of
self hatred directed at who i was
and the deeds at which i had done

now skip towards a different beat
one which now allowed for growth
showing a way towards peace within
only if you decide to accept it inside
so playing towards this muse
i accepted what lay inside

cascading torrents of emotional pain
locked away to never be set free
now pushed forth to ind ere a sense
of direction, guiding my path to be free
channel my character flaws out to believe
that i am more than what i see

no more shall i focus on what has past
struggling to move on yet this journey
has just begun
