You Have Nothing

This is honestly probably the worst thing I've ever written.

V1:
My eyes are opened
But all I see is dirt
So this is the afterlife we're all worked up about?
This is the millenium of life
We were sure would fix us all,
And look where it left us.

Chorus:
I have you,
And you have nothing.
What kind of fate is that?
But you're still here,
Holding on while I cling to you.
So who am I to take that away?

V2:
Where do you go when you're lost?
My inspiration brought me here - nowhere.
But there's a heart beat somewhere inside me,
So I'll go on for now.

Chorus:
I have you,
And you have nothing.
What kind of fate is that?
But you're still here,
Holding on while I cling to you.
So who am I to take that away?

V3:
You're my rain cloud on a sunny day;
Gone.
Not the first or last time
That I'll be left behind.
So, inspiration,
Where do I go from here?
There's no time like the present,
And no direction like forward.

Chorus:
I have you,
And you have nothing.
What kind of fate is that?
But you're still here,
Holding on while I cling to you.
So who am I to take that away?
