Covered Bridge
I am riding the back of a veering sunset
Hoping to find where I belong
the sun has dropped, the moon's on top
of the sky, and we're lost underneath
choking on poisonous fumes as the sun rests
It was cute at first but I guess I was blinded
and mistook ignorance for kindness.
I am trapped inside a glass box that could go at any minute
And when the sun comes up,
I'll be burnt for sure, I'll be burnt for sure.
