The Hooded Thief
The steel pipe,
stuck in your throat,
the barbed wire,
knotted in your stomach,
the cold hammer,
shattering your heart,
the hooded thief,
who steals your soul,
the lukewarm tears,
a release,
a relief.
the soft hand,
sheltering yours,
the soothing voice,
love saturated,
a neighbours nod,
signal of support,
Just a few words,
"sending thoughts and prayers",
the lukewarm tears,
a release,
a relief.
the lukewarm tears,
dissolve my fear,
I feel you near.
